2007 Sebeka® Sauvignon Blanc Western Cape
2007 Sebeka South Africa Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant, fruit-forward New World style wine that features a bouquet of gooseberry, herbal notes, and bold tropical citrus flavors accented by subtle mineral notes, evoking rich soil undertones. With a refreshing, dry tang, Sauvignon Blanc represents the same elegant demeanor of the cheetah. Its crisp taste, bright tropical fruit flavors, and satisfying texture pairs well with Asian and Indian cuisines. Sauvignon Blanc is best if enjoyed within one year of release. The 2007 Sebeka South Africa Sauvignon Blanc garnered several accolades from ten wine competitions. It was recognized a “Best Buy” by Wine Enthusiast and as the “Wine of the Week” on Dallas Morning News; the wine also earned high scores from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast
For the 2006 Sebeka South Africa Sauvignon Blanc, the best Sauvignon Blanc grapes were thoughtfully hand-picked and de-stemmed; they were then crushed, pressed and allowed to settle overnight. To retain a crisp structure, the natural acidity of the grapes, and evoke vivacious fruit characteristics, each lot was fermented in upright steel tanks. The juice was allowed a slow fermentation over three weeks at a cool temperature, 14-18°C, to further enhance it with tropical fruit and mineral flavors.
